1. Overview and Features

The Zemmer IZM 505P induction cooktop offers:

2. Basic Usage

Step 1: Powering On

The stove is locked by default. To unlock, touch and hold to lock button.

Tap the Power Button to starting using the stove

Step 2: Selecting a Cooking Zone

Slide over control for the cooking zone to adjust the power level (200 – 2000). The higher the number, the more heat is generated.

For rapid heating, select the Booster mode by tapping the “P”.

Step 3: Turning Off the Stove

Press the power button to turn off individual zones or the entire cooktop.


3. Cooking Tips

Choosing Cookware:

  • Only induction-compatible cookware with a flat, magnetic base will work on the Zemmer IZM 505P.
  • Ensure the cookware’s base matches the size of the cooking zone for optimal performance.

Power Levels Guide:

  • 1-3: Low heat for simmering sauces or melting butter.
  • 4-6: Medium heat for boiling or frying.
  • 7-9: High heat for searing or fast boiling.

Booster Mode:

  • Use the Booster function to quickly bring water to a boil or heat oil for frying.

4. Cleaning and Maintenance

Daily Cleaning:

  • Wipe the ceramic glass surface with a soft cloth and mild detergent after use. Ensure the surface is cool before cleaning.

Removing Stubborn Stains:

  • Use a ceramic cooktop cleaner and a soft sponge for tougher stains or spills. Avoid using abrasive materials, which can scratch the surface.

5. Safety Features

Child Lock

  • To activate the child safety lock, press and hold the lock button for 3 seconds. This will prevent any accidental changes. To deactivate, press and hold the button again.

Overheat Protection

  • The cooktop will automatically shut off if it detects overheating, ensuring safety for you and your family.

Residual Heat Indicator

  • After cooking, the residual heat indicator will show an “H” for zones that are still hot to the touch. Avoid placing any items on these areas until the indicator turns off.

6. Troubleshooting

Cooktop Not Heating

  • Ensure you are using induction-compatible cookware.
  • Verify the power supply is properly connected.

Error Codes

  • Refer to the user manual for specific error codes, or contact customer service for assistance.

Touch Controls Not Responding

  • Clean the control panel to ensure there is no dirt or grease interfering with the sensors. If this persists, restart the cooktop by disconnecting it from the power source.

7. Safety Precautions

Keep the cooktop away from flammable materials while in use.

Always use oven mitts when handling hot cookware.
